AzaMax is 100% natural (allegedly), and my plants didn't even seem to notice it was there. Within the first 24 hours of application, there were no more pests to be seen. Prior to application there were some on every leaf. The eggs however did not die out, and the pests returned within about 7 days. Another quick application and there are no living pests in sight. I believe I will be able to effectively end their life cycle with only 2 or 3 treatments (maybe one more, but there are not many eggs left, and they may all die out from this last treatment).
I would recommend AzaMax to anyone trying to grow fruits or vegetables without chemicals. AzaMax is an effective means of controlling pests.
Good insecticide!
Generally safe and very effective against mites.
But WTF happened to the PRICE?!
I bought a pint in Oct of '14 and it was $20
One year later its "on sale" for $54!!!
Be sure and use it according to the breeding rate of your pests, which varies by species AND environmental temperature/humidity.
In general, the warmer it is the faster they mature.
Your ideal is to spray an infected area once every breeding cycle for three cycles, and once every third (or more, depending on economics!) cyce for control.
Two spotted mites (greenish with brownish spots) breeding cycle varies from 3 days to 3 weeks, depending upon conditions. They like it warm and dry, so keeping your humidity above 60% will help control them, as will misting plants daily (which you can use for foliar feeding too!) They are a very common pest in California native to the Mediterranean.
